Health and Environmental Impact of nano-enabled products along the life cycle is a two days Workshop that will be held on the 7th and 8th May 2013 at Residència d’Investigadors in Barcelona (Spain). Furthermore, a Training Workshop will be held on the 6th May 2013 at Leitat Technological Center about safety issues of nanomaterials along the life cycle.

The joint workshop is organized by the coordinators of three European FP7 Projects NanoPolyTox, NanoSustain and NANOFATE. The organizers are representing institutions actively working in the field of nanotechnology and nanosafety: LEITAT Technological Centre (Barcelona, Spain), Nordmiljö AB (Sweden), and, Centre for Ecology and hydrology (Wallingford, UK), respectively.

The Workshop aims to:

  • Present to a broad audience the latest results and progress of the European FP7 Projects: NANOPOLYTOX, NANOSUSTAIN and NANOFATE.
  • Share knowledge and experiences about the critical issues faced during the execution of these projects.
  • The ongoing research on different nanosafety issues (latest results and future work on running projects) will be presented to give an overview of where we are going and to identify what we do still need to cover.
  • Trigger discussion and networking among experts in the different fields of nanosafety.

Workshop jointly organized by:

The research leading to these results has received funding from European Community´s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007–2013) under Grant Agreement n. 247899, 247989 & 247739
