The European PV Cluster 3 Meeting is organized during the workshop Ephocell: Luminescent Solar Concentrators. The symposium is jointly organized by the European PV Cluster and the Ephocell consortium.
The first day of the event, the scientific and technological progress of the on-going European projects are presented (Subcluster 3.1 and Subcluster 3.3).
The main goals of the first day of the workshop is to give a complete overview of the entire portfolio of projects on photovoltaic (PV) in the NMP, Energy and ICT programmes through the EU Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) and to make key recommendations on future research needs in the PV domain for the set-up of a nanotechnology roadmap to foster the development of PV in Europe.
The second day, Ephocell consortium presents the progresses on Up Conversion and Down Shifting Luminescent Solar Concentrators. The technology developed into Ephocell project is applied for enhancing the performance of third generation PV cells. A panel of experts on LSC and BIPV for Third Generation PV cell are invited as speakers in the fourth session.
Subcluster 3.1 Nanodots- or nanowires-based PV cells
Subcluster 3.3 Innovative nanostructures
Luminiscent Solar Concentrator (LSC): from innovation to application.
Leitat Technological Center is beside Natural Parc Sant Llorenç del Munt and close to Barcelona City, which provides the inspiration for the development of renewable energies and green technologies The organization committee will provide a list of comfortable hotels at Barcelona city and a bus for transportation between Barcelona and Terrassa, where Leitat is located. A social dinner is planned on 2nd October.
